Overview
In preparation for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, this project aimed to create a center for a rugby boom in Japan and generate interest in those previously indifferent to rugby.
The Mitsubishi Estate Group and various other companies, organizations, and individuals co-created activities in Marunouchi, Tokyo, with the concept of urban development that embraces diversity. A variety of engaging activities were developed to help those who were indifferent to rugby to like the sport, even if they only became “casual” fans.
Drill was involved in the planning and production of many of these activities. For example, by combining “Area Facilities and Services × Rugby,” Drill transformed the Marunouchi area into a rugby-themed city designed to give everyone a chance to fall in love with the sport.
