Overview

“Japan All In,” a PR event to introduce the appeal of various regional tourist attractions in Japan, was held by the Japan Tourism Agency and Mitsubishi Estate to coincide with the 2012 Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group. A fashion show featuring Tokyo’s “real clothes” and a parade to showcase regional festivals and performance arts from around Japan was held as the main event. This “Japan Parade” event was held in Marunouchi by blocking off parts of its main street.

Part one of these events was the “Marunouchi Runway,” a fashion show featuring models wearing “dress fashion” by sixteen brands with stores in the Marunouchi area. Domestic and international brands, including Beams House and United Arrows, joined together to present the current fashions of Tokyo. Part two of these events was the “Japan Parade,” a parade featuring colorful local festivals and performance arts from around the nation. Twenty-one groups paraded through the main street of Marunouchi showing off their diverse festival, dance, costume, and music styles. This event attracted approximately 10,000 people and filled the streets of Marunouchi.
