Overview
“Projection mapping,” the latest technique for space production, was undertaken in Yokohama Minato-mirai’s “Dockyard Garden,” a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan. Taking advantage of the unique space of this former shipbuilding dockyard, images were projected along the approximately 10-meters high by 29-meters wide hull-shaped stone walls. This was the first outdoor 180-degree experiential projection mapping in Japan where people could enjoy the sensation of entering into a world of images.
