Overview
We undertook the creative, opening events, and promotions for a new commercial facility (adjoining the DMM Aquarium) located opposite the Churasan Beach and a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport in Okinawa. Targeting locals and community members for local revitalization, textile patterns made in collaboration with the island’s artists and children were used to communicate the appeal of iias and help form an identity for this new area created by land reclamation.
These patterned textiles were used for interior design and even employee masks. They were also given out to visitors and transformed into bandanas and bags. Communications for this campaign were placed in newspapers, commercials, in-flight magazines, and the local monorail. This campaign was awarded Bronze in the Sales Promotion Second Category at the 39th Okinawa Advertising Association Advertising Award.
