Overview

“UNIQLO FASHION FESTIVAL” was produced as a fashion event for Uniqlo, in collaboration with ten popular women’s magazines. The Omotesando Hills neighborhood was “hijacked” for three days for this event. Fashion shows and talk events featuring top models and talents from each magazine was held on the open-ceilinged grand staircase of Omotesando Hills. Uniqlo also produced specialty stores, “UNIQLO x Magazines Select Shops,” with four magazines (sweet, STORY, VERY, and BAILA) in the basement SPACE O event venue, where collaborative products and Uniqlo collections curated by each magazine were sold. Refreshments were plentiful via limited-time food shops and special food stalls made in collaboration with popular cafés. Healthy and delicious sweets and drinks produced by the women’s magazines proved very popular—queues formed to purchase them. This festival was a great success with around 95,000 total visitors.
