Overview

Do luxury brands exist only for the wealthy few? In the aftermath of the 3.11 disaster, thirteen luxury brands with retail stores in Ginza rose to the occasion to give hope to Japan and to revitalize Ginza. We held a drawing workshop for elementary school students in Takata City (an area badly damaged by the tsunami) with the theme, “A Future Full of Smiles.” These drawings were turned into thirty-five “Light Sculptures” to be displayed as Christmas illuminations in Ginza. Messages gathered for these children were then delivered to them. Through this campaign, these luxury brands’ images were enhanced.
