Hidetaka Nakamura obtained his master’s degree from the Nobuaki Furuya Laboratory in Waseda University’s Graduate School of Creative Science and Engineering. After joining Dentsu, he worked as a copywriter, commercial planner, and became a creative director in 2015. He was promoted to Group Creative Director in 2019. In 2021, he established ASTERISK Inc., and joined Drill as Creative Director.
In addition to his strengths in high-impact mass campaigns in TV commercials and graphics, Hidetaka also handles integrated and digital campaigns. His work spans diverse realms including: producing amusement park rides, launching brands, developing retail stores, developing services, and consulting for companies.
Notable works by Hidetaka include: “One Piece Campaign,” “After 6 Series,” “CM On-Air Battle,” and all other campaigns for Indeed; “100 YEARS TRAIN” for Sagami Railway; WONDA series for Asahi Soft Drinks; Georgia “Emerald Mountain Battle” series for Coca-Cola; “#changethetimes” series for DAZN; establishing the “MIRAITEIBAN KENKYU-JO” for Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores; “OSAKA MILANO DESIGN LINK” for Daimaru Shinbashi Store; and all commercials for Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park for the past 10 years, as well as producing the “Fuji Airways” ride for them.
He has won Gold from ACC TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS, and the Grand Prize from Dentsu Advertising Awards. He continues to receive awards almost every year, including from NY FESTIVAL, ADFEST, and ADSTARS. His work was ranked in the Top 10 Most Favorable TV Commercials for three consecutive years.
