Overview
The mission for this project was to bring in new users to “Final Fantasy (FF),” whose appeal had become limited to core users as the series progressed. A competition was held to make the funniest voiceovers for scenes with game characters. Allowing users to “tweak” the unique world of FF attracted interest, and even a comedian joined the competition. The campaign garnered attention across Japan. As a result, Final Fantasy TYPE-0 achieved phenomenal sales of 700,000.
