Naoya Hosokawa is a creative director with expertise in all aspects of creative, promotion and media.
He was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Drill in 2011.

Naoya is known for his many ambitious campaigns including the Pocari Sweat “LUNAR DREAM CAPSULE project” to land on the moon, and the au “Hello, New World. warp cube” experience which allowed immersive, virtual travel to the world’s most scenic landscapes. His creativity transcends advertising and media arts as showcased in his development of the “NEURONAVI” state-of-the-art brain waves-based tourism guide and the world’s smallest projection mapping exhibited at the Milan Salone.
He actively engages in promoting regional cultures and revitalization activities, as seen through his executive production of the newly created “Upopoy” National Ainu Museum and Park in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, and his creative direction of “iias,” a recently developed commercial facility in Toyosaki, Okinawa. As a licensed first-class architect, he is involved in many projects to produce spaces to attract customers and to promote new openings.

He has won many other domestic and international advertising awards, including Cannes Lions Awards, New York ADC Awards and ONE SHOW. He has served as a judge for the Cannes Lions Awards, ADFEST, and the New York Festival. In 2017, he became the first Japanese selected as one of the “Creative 100” by Adweek, the most prestigious advertising magazines in the United States.
